APRIL FOOLS JOKE! There is no road toll going on in La Corey

Willow Prairie Ag Society wants to say that the previous post about them doing a road toll is just an April Fools Day prank.

It was not intended to offend, just to have a laugh.

They are thankful of the community are proud to announce their upcoming Farm Fair with musical guest Corb Lund on Saturday, June 14.

The WPAS is announcing a new pilot project that will include a road toll, the group said in a press release on Monday.

Beginning on April 15, a road toll will be set up in La Corey similar to photo-radar with a mobile van, parked in the vicinity of the community.

This comes at the conclusion of a joint 32 month long road study, with a toll listed as a top recommendation.

The estimated cost will be set at $75 a vehicle for a year.

This includes a caveat of 10 kilometre residential exemptions.

The WPAS will host a town hall meeting shortly with more details for residents about how this will work before it is established on April 15.
