Kitscoty RCMP nab intoxicated driver wanted on outstanding warrants
A woman with warrants for her arrest is facing a driving while impaired charge, after being in possession of stolen property.
On Thursday, March 27, Kitscoty RCMP received multiple calls regarding a suspicious vehicle on Range Road 20 in Paradise Valley, with a possibly intoxicated driver that had driven into the ditch.
Kitscoty RCMP responded and say they located the vehicle, which had been stolen out of Paradise Valley, and the driver.
The driver, who was deemed intoxicated, was identified and had warrants for her arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Matilda Ashely Mae Davidson, 22, a resident of Saskatoon, Sk., was arrested and charged with twelve offences, including:
- Possession of stolen property over $5000;
- Possession of stolen property under $5000;
- Driving while impaired (x2);
- Possession of a weapon (folding knife) for a dangerous purpose;
- Obstruct police officer;
- Possession of break-in tools; and
- Failure to comply with probation order (x2).
Davidson was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. She is to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster on April 22, 2025.
