Roughly 100 grams of meth, 60 grams of cocaine, seized in search warrant
A 44-year-old is facing several charges related to drug trafficking and guns offences following a search warrant in Saddle Lake.
Saddle Lake RCMP on Wednesday, in collaboration with St. Paul RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, executed the search warrant, with cocaine, meth, and guns, seized from the project.
Included in the items seized were:
- approx. 100 grams of crystal meth (street value of approx. $5000)
- approx. 60 grams of cocaine (street value of approx. $4400)
- three semi-automatic rifles
- one handgun
- ammunition
- a large quantity of other various weapons
- approx. $2000 in Canadian currency
As a result of the search, one male was arrested and charged with related offences.
Darin Riel Moses, 44, a resident of Saddle Lake was charged with:
- possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule 1: cocaine
- possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule 1: methamphetamine (crystal meth)
- weapons possession contrary to order (x4)
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
- tampering with serial number of firearm
- illegal possession of trafficking in government documents
- possession of restricted firearm without license
- unsafe storage of firearms
Darin Moses was held for a judicial interim release hearing and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear at the St. Paul Court of Justice on Mar. 27, 2025.
