Cold Laker arrested and charged with stolen truck, meth

A 27-year-old was remanded into custody with drugs and weapons after a warrant investigation. 

On Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 11:00AM, the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (EADCRU) effected an arrest of a female wanted in the trailer park in the 5500 block of 55 Street in Bonnyville.  

During the investigation, a truck that had been stolen from Edmonton a few days prior was located at the scene and was driven away by a male suspect.  

EADCRU, EAD Police Dog Services, Bonnyville GIS and Bonnyville General Duty members worked collaboratively to arrest the male without further incident.  

A search of his person revealed a quantity of methamphetamine, a knife, a baton and an air soft pistol.  

Logan Winegarden, 27 year old, of Cold Lake is charged with Driving while Prohibited, Possession of Meth, Possession of a Stolen Truck Over $5000, Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon and nine charges of Failing to Comply with a Release Order Condition.  

He was brought before a Justice of the Peace for a Bail Hearing and remanded into custody.  His first appearance is February 14th in Bonnyville Provincial Court.
