Cst. Peacock facing child sexual crimes to have hearing June 2025

The St. Paul RCMP member facing multiple charges of sexual crimes with children will go trial in 2025.

Cst. Evan Peacock will have a preliminary hearing on June 23, 2025 in St. Paul.

Peacock was arrested on April 25 with two counts each of possessing, distributing, and accessing child pornography, following an ALERT Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) investigation.

ALERT’s investigation began in November 2023 when the suspect allegedly uploaded two videos depicting child sexual exploitation to Snapchat. ALERT was notified via the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Center.

Peacock was released from custody on a number of court-imposed conditions to await his next scheduled court appearance, and suspended from the RCMP.

However, in mid-June, Peacock was charged again for soliciting sex with underage females online. He was charged one count of luring a child, and one count of failure to comply with release order conditions.

He was remanded into custody this time.

Peacock had been with the RCMP for three a half years.
