Myles Gauld was rewarded for his offensive output by the Alberta Junior Hockey League on Tuesday.
The Pontiacs veteran forward was named the AJHL Player of the Week after his 4 goals and 1 assist in two weekend contest.
The 20-year-old returned the Pontiacs a few weeks ago, and is starting to get hot offensively.
He has 10 points in 9 games total, and is contributing in different ways.
In Sunday’s hat-trick against the Devon Xtreme, Gauld scored an even-strength, power play, and penalty kill goal. His marker on Friday was an empty-netter.
It’s now a six game point streak Gauld finds himself on.
He’s the first Pontiacs to receive a weekly league honour this season.
The Pontiacs return to action on Friday and Saturday at home against the Canmore Eagles, on a mini two game win streak.
