The family of Richard Ralph Favel of Goodfish Lake, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved father, mosôm, câpân and uncle on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the age of 87 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are his children: James (Sheila) Favel, Frank (Mabel) Favel, Sam Favel, Marie Favel (Malcolm Paul), Jenny Favel (Lawrence Houle); numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; nieces & nephews: Theresa Jackson, Raymond Favel, Evelyn C. Favel, Clara Breast, Collin Favel, Harriet Favel, Evelyn D. Favel, Verna Cardinal, Jeanne Favel “pitney”; cousin: Emma Rayko; special friends: Lumber Jack, Violet Cardinal, Ernie Jackson “Cham”, Philip James Sparklingeyes, Janelle Favel “Doo Doo”; sisters-in-law: Annie Ward, Jenny Houle; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Richard is going into the arms of his loving wife: Mary Victoria Favel; children: Cornelius “Corn” Favel, Ricky “Paul Elvis” Favel, John Favel, Laura “Minnie” Favel; parents: Cornelius & Marie Favel; brothers & sisters: Ettiene, Peter, James, Erastus, Raymond, Silas, Abraham, Allan, Minnie, Rema, Clara, Monica & Marie Favel; baby sister who passed at birth; grandchildren: Jade, Brittany, Eric, Abraham, Bruce, Aaron & Jeremy Favel, Kelly-Anne Favel Desjarlais, Heather Scanie, Patricia Deschamps.

Funeral Service, Monday, October 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, AB with Father Michael Ngo officiating. Pallbearers: Frank Favel, Sam Favel, James Favel, Adam Favel, Blake Collins, Grant Favel, Robert Hope, James Favel-Cardinal. Final Resting Place, Hill Top Cemetery, Goodfish Lake, AB.
