“It’s great being involved in a community like this,” said main commercial broker Thomas Rosenberger.

“Growing up, I played sports and giving kids an opportunity to play. There’s nothing like it. Honestly, the kids that would just go home and twiddle their thumbs, but now they get to be involved, build character, build life skills, and really just get out there and enjoy themselves.”

Kidsport Bonnyville is a busy chapter in community giveback.

The generous support from fundraisers has left Kidsport in a great position to fund underprivileged kids with minor sport registrations.

Chair Brad Ollen said they’ve been able to up the total to $500.

“We fund kids into local sporting programs so families that might be struggling with with financial with their financials can apply to us, and we’ll send money on their behalf to the sport right sport organization to cover registration fees,” said Ollen.

“Bonnyville is an amazing town to be in. This community supports local organizations and nonprofits. I’m speechless, really, that’s fantastic. It’s going to fund a lot of kids into local sport programs, and it’s going to just help build this community, with great people.”

It’s roughly $25,000 that Lloyd Sadd has raised for Kidsport over the past three years.
