Town Of Bonnyville – Franchise Fee Increase Notice

FRANCHISE FEE
INCREASE NOTICE
The Town of Bonnyville is proposing to increase the local access fee, which is charged
to APEX Utilities Inc. for use of the municipal lands for its natural gas distribution service
effective January 1, 2025. The fee is recovered by APEX Utilities Inc. from its
customers as the local franchise fee on natural gas billings of all customers that receive
natural gas service in the Town of Bonnyville.
The Franchise fee will be increased from 20% to 21% on the delivery charges of APEX
Utilities Inc., excluding natural gas related riders. The average residential increase has
been estimated at $0.94 per month on an average consumption of 12 GJs. Residents
of the Town of Bonnyville have until October 15, 2024 to make their concerns known in
