Bonnyville Pontiacs back at home to renew Lloyd rivalry

Last Updated: October 3, 2024By Tags: ,

Friday night will be just the second game at home for the Bonnyville Pontiacs this season.

After a 4-2 win way back on Sept. 13 vs the Devon Xtreme, now the Yaks get a brief home game, before another four straight on the road.

It’s a good time for the Bonnyville Pontiacs to see the Lloyd Bobcats for this home-and-home weekend, who have struggled mightily out of the gates, winless through the first eight games.

Bonnyville is looking to get the sour taste of the AJHL Showcase out of their mouths. A tough, exciting 5-4 loss to Calgary was followed by a disappointing no-show 6-1 loss to the Olds Grizzlys.

With eight days between games, the Pontiacs have had plenty of time to shuffle deck chairs on the patio, and hit the ice for practice.

The Pontiacs sit 2-3 on the season.

Puck drop is 7pm tonight at the RJ Lalonde Arena.
