St. Paul hosts Dog Park Open House on Tuesday

St. Paul residents can have their say about a proposed dog park in town on Tuesday.

A drop-in open house will be happening at the St. Paul Recreation Centre from 3:00-7:00pm. There will be five panels displayed at the open house breaking down specific areas the Town wants feedback on.

We know that this has been a hot topic,” said Mayor Maureen Miller on The Morning After, hinting at the long-had discussions surrounding a dog park.

“It’s going to be on location, rules around it, the safety features around it, what the needs are. There will be another opportunity to place that same information on a fill-out form that we can access on our websites and our media as well.

People write on Facebook, they write wherever. This is where your information needs to land. It needs to come in one of these avenues that we’ve provided because that’s where the accurate information is going to be. We’re quite excited about finally getting this wrapped up, hopefully. Giving all those residents that have asked for it for a long time an opportunity to have it.”

The online submission form, available to those who can’t attend in-person, can be found here.

Included in the form, is the choice between Elks Park at 5602 55th Avenue, or Kendelstick Park at 4309 52nd Street. Each has different amenities.

It also lists rules and regulations the Park would follow.
