Charges laid after search warrant finds drugs and weapons at Bonnyville house

A Bonnyville man is facing charges, including drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, after police seized items from his home last.

On Thursday, May 16th, Bonnyville RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence on 51 Street. During the search police located crystal meth, a firearm, other weapons and evidence consistent with the sale of illegal drugs. 

As a result, 52-year-old Aaron Bucholz of Bonnyville, Alberta was charged with:
– Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
– Unsafe storage of a firearm
– Unlawful possession of a firearm.

Bucholz was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released to appear in court on June 4th, 2024 in Bonnyville, Alberta.
