Vermilion RCMP arrest pair for theft
Two southern Alberta residents were arrested in early March on property and mischief charges, Vermilion RCMP said last week.
On March 5, 2024, at approximately 8:54 p.m., Vermilion RCMP received a complaint of a theft from a rural property. The suspects were reportedly in a broken down truck nearby.
Members attended an initiated an investigation into the theft.
As a result of the investigation, Amanda Lee McVittie, 52, a resident of Calgary, and Hailey Morrison, 30, a resident of Drumheller, were charged with mischief under $5000 and theft under $5000.
Mcvittie and Morrison were both released from custody.
McVittie is set to appear on June 3, 2024, while Morrison is set to appear on June 17, 2024, both at the Alberta Court of Justice in Vermilion.
