Luka Sukovic’s season exploits could garner even more hardware.

Already a finalist for the CJHL’s Top Forward award, Sukovic is also one of five vying for the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s overall Most Valuable Player.

The 20-year-old forward won these awards for the AJHL.

“Luka came in this season and has been the ideal teammate and player,” said Pontiacs associate general manager Neil Langridge.

“He wasn’t happy with how last year’s season went and he spent the entire off season dedicated to his craft. This season has been a testament to his hard work and dedication and now this acknowledgment from the other AJHL teams solidifies his success. We are proud of all his achievements and especially his commitment to Clarkson University.”

The other finalists are Trevor Hoskin, Cobourg Cougars (OJHL), Kian Bell, Battlefords North Stars (SJHL), Lucas Signoretti, Espanola Paper Kings (NOJHL), and Alex Blais, Rangers de Montreal (LHJAAAQ).
