Walsh Field thieves charged

Two people have been charged after stealing $2500 worth of equipment from Walsh Field.
Bonnyville RCMP responded after to the theft on April 10, where a Zybek Timing System, two powered PA speakers, and five adjustable step hurdles were taken from the site.
The suspects were identified and a search warrant was obtained for a residence in Bonnyville. The search warrant was executed resulting in stolen property being recovered and returned to the Bonnyville Amateur Football Association’s outbuilding.
A 31-year-old male resident of Bonnyville was charged with possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5,000
The individual was released on conditions and scheduled to appear in court on May 28, 2024 in Bonnyville.

The individual was released on conditions and scheduled to appear in court on May 21, 2024 in Bonnyville.
Names were not released by the RCMP because the charges are not yet sworn.
