The Bonnyville Health Centre will be upgrading their electrical system on Saturday, which will have minimal lighting throughout the facility and power will be supplied by a backup generator, causing some service disruptions.
This will happen from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Covenant Health says.
The emergency department will be open, but obstetric patients could be diverted to Cold Lake as the operating room will be closed while the backup generator is in use.
Visiting is still open during these times but is recommended for after 5:00pm.
An update will be provided if the upgrading extends past one day.
All services will resume as normal when the upgrade is finished.
