Seven residents were awarded a Community Beautification Award for the efforts made to their properties in 2023.

“We are so proud of the work and dedication that our residents put into their residences and businesses to help keep Cold Lake looking as beautiful as it does,” said Mayor Craig Copeland.

The seven award winners were: Jennifer Hetherington, Leeland Hiebert, Thomas Isenor and Hannah Penn, Matthew Luxmore, Samantha Macken, Robert Ofstie, and Twyla Rettman. Each winner was awarded $250.

The Community Beautification Award was created to encourage residents to make efforts that beautify their residential and commercial properties, specifically curbside improvements along the front of their properties. Some examples of improvements include: exterior painting, gutter repair, fence painting or repair, landscaping, or driveway improvements.
