How do St. Paul residents find out local information?

The Town of St. Paul is surveying how residents find out local information

Town council has been reviewing bylaws regarding their advertising policies, which sparked this idea to better understand how people in St. Paul receive important notices or find about council matters.

Questions range from how often public notices are seen in the St. Paul Journal, the Morning After with Mayor Maureen Miller series on Lakeland Connect, the Town website or app is used, the Town Talk publication, and other methods residents receive their local content.

They also want to know what improvements could be made, and what types of content people want to see more of.

Second and third readings of the Advertising Bylaw was passed at their recent meeting at the Jan. 22 meeting.

In Budget 2024, council has looked at reducing costs towards advertising, and have paused advertising until the survey is completed, and the data is combed through.

Residents could win a $100 Sobey’s gift card just by filling out the survey.
