St. Paul Police Dog Services assisted in the seizure of nearly 600 grams of cocaine, as well as other drugs and a modified vehicles.

Last Wednesday on Jan. 24, Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) completed a drug trafficking investigation in Lloydminster. 

Lloydminster GIS, with the assistance of the St. Paul Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant at a residence. 

During the execution of the search warrant, RCMP seized two vehicles with modified VINs as well as:   

  • 599.2g of cocaine;
  • 28g of methamphetamine;
  • 16g of psilocybin;
  • A prohibited shotgun.

As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Lloydminster resident Mitchell Moyah, was charged with:

  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of schedule III substance;
  • Unauthorized possession of firearm;
  • Possession of firearm knowing it’s unauthorized; and
  • Possession of weapon contrary to order.

Moyah was taken before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody, with his next court date being Feb. 5, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
