Pack the Police Car returns to Bonnyville on Dec. 15 for Food Bank

Bonnyville RCMP are looking for generosity once again this year for the less fortunate.

The Pack the Police Car/Stuff the Squad Car/Cram the Cruiser fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, December 15.

A police cruiser will be parked outside Sobey’s in Bonnyville from noon until 3:00pm, and they’ll look to fill the unit with non-perishable food items to support the Food Bank.

The weight of these donations continues to increase.

Last year, they were able to gather over 5,000 pounds of food for the Food Bank in a few short hours, which was 860 pounds heavier than in 2021.

In year’s past, they’ve accepted cash donations, which are then used for grocery gift cards.
