A wedding, a birthday and a lottery win!

Once, twice, THREE times the celebration! Over two days, Leonard Stanley got married, had a birthday, and learned his LOTTO MAX ticket won $100,000 on the September 19 EXTRA draw. Although Stanley bought his ticket in September, it wasn’t until the first week of October that he discovered his win.

“It was a celebratory week!” he said while claiming his prize in October. “I was up late with my buddy on my birthday, and I started checking some of the lottery tickets I hadn’t checked yet.”

“I heard the ‘Woo hoo!’ and saw the prize amount – I couldn’t believe it!”

The winner said he told his new wife the good news when she woke up the next morning. “She was excited,” he said. “We’re all really excited about it!”

Stanley said he hasn’t made any major plans for his windfall yet.

“I haven’t gotten that far,” he laughed. “We’ll probably upgrade our vehicles eventually and hopefully take a family vacation at some point, too.”

“Right now, I’m just feeling grateful to have won,” he continued. “Money isn’t everything, but it sure does help!”

Stanley purchased his winning ticket at the Alcurve Store at Junction Highway 17 & 45 & 3 in Lloydminster. He won his prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on September 19 – 3815291.
