Lac La Biche RCMP arrest male on Robbery warrants
On Sept 30, 2023, Lac La Biche RCMP with the assistance of Alberta Police Dog Services successfully located and arrested a male who was wanted on numerous warrants.
Waylon Ballantyne (28) a resident of Lac La Biche County was arrested on 16 outstanding warrants for a variety of offences committed throughout the Lac La Biche area. Waylon Ballantyne was at large for failure to attend court while on bail for an aggravated assault in March 2023. Waylon Ballantyne’s additional charges included:
Robbery
Assault with weapon
Assault (x2)
Utter Threats (x2)
Possession weapon dangerous purpose (x2)
Theft
Drive while prohibited (x2)
Fail to comply with release order (x4)
Fail to attend court
Following a judicial hearing, Waylon Ballantyne was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear Oct 16, 2023 in Lac La Biche Provincial Court.
