On July 6, 2023, Mrs. Irene Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 89 years.

She is survived by her 2 sons & 7 daughters, Clifford, Patricia, Kathleen, Lydia, Lena, Madeline (Lawrence), Emma (Glen) Daniels, Fabian & Carol; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & relatives.

Irene was predeceased by her spouse, William; children, Glen, Allan, Ronald, Charlene & Larson; parents, Riel & Amilia Gladue; brothers, Pat, Joe, Gabriel, David, Ralph & Vernon Gladue; sisters, Charlotte Cardinal, Louise & Bertha Gladue; in-laws, Lloyd & Emma Cardinal.

A Wake will be held on Friday, July 14 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Reverend Father Michael Ngo will be officiating with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
