With cherished memories for a life well lived, the family of Emma “Toots” Louisa Dutertre of Bonnyville, Alberta announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the remarkable age of 100 years.

Emma is lovingly survived by her children: Linda (Ron) Fox of Bonnyville, AB, Darce (Rollie) Mercier of Bonnyville, AB, Glen (Shelley) Dutertre of Bonnyville, AB; son-in-law: Mike Loyer of Fort Saskatchewan, AB; grandchildren: Shane (Roni), Tracy (Jorge), Troy, Alyson (Jake), Ryan, Shelley (Andrew), Brent (Jessica), Lindsay (Jason), Jamie, Troy (Sandy); great grandchildren: Robyn (Chris), Mackenzie, Tyler (Grace), Meagan (Brandon), Rebecca (Donovan), Dalton (Ariana), Colby, Rachel, Holly, Emma, Nate, Adam, Cody, Jacob, Camryn, Rachel, Dally, Holly; great great grandchildren: Hadlee, William, Kayson; sister-in-law: Louise Williams; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Emma was predeceased by her husband: Robert Dutertre (1998); daughter: Dianne Loyer (2022); great granddaughter: Randi-Lynn Ohland (1994); grandson-in-law: Chuck Ohland (2004); parents: Charles & Mary Williams; siblings: Edna (Wilf) Streets, Neill (Florence) Williams, Dolly (Vernon) Dutertre, Biddy (Noah) Demarce , Dixie (Grover) Dutertre, Roy Williams.

Celebration of Emma’s Life, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., Bonnyville Agricultural Society Hall, located at the Rodeo Grounds, 4201 55 Street, Bonnyville, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Emma’s memory may be sent to Haying in the 30’s, c/o Cancer Support, P.O. Box 35, Mallaig, AB T0A 2K0.
