Parents who want to have their kids get involved in free summer fun could look toward the St. Paul Regional FCSS.

The St. Paul Regional FCSS is having a Kids Summer Camp and hosting four dates of summer camps in July and August with different themes.

“We hold kids summer camps because it’s a big community involvement for the youth within our community,” said Brooke Dechaine, FCSS Family Resources.

“Some places don’t have as many daycare programs or summer camp programs.”

The dates for the camps are July 14th and 28th, and August 4th and 11th at Ferguson Flats Hall, northeast of Elk Point.

These camps are free to enroll in.

There will be many different themes, including physical activity, science and team building.

The FCSS staff are also planning on going in a different direction with one of the themes this year.

“We are planning to do a Home Alone theme,” said Dechaine, if they get enough interest.

FCSS designs and delivers social programs that focus on prevention to enhance social well-being of individuals and families in our community.

The FCSS team makes sure each day that they hold the summer camp is orientated to be a different theme. This makes sure the kids are kept interested and excited.

FCSS is accepting 25 kids between the ages of 7-12 each day from 1-3pm on July 14th, 28th and August 4th and 11th. Registration for the kids summer camp is free, and you can register by emailing bdechaine@town.stpaul.ab.ca.
