On June 26, 2023, Mrs. Sophie Pidoborozny of Stry passed away at the age of 103 years.

She is survived by 2 sons, Gordon (Shelley) & Ron; 2 grandchildren, Lori (Larry) & Shane; 2 great-grandchildren, Eric & Sydney; brother, Andrew (June) Rurka; sister-in-law, Jean Rurka; numerous nieces & nephews.

Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Peter; granddaughter, Dawn-Marie; daughter-in-law, Dee; parents, Paul & Nellie Rurka; sisters, Tillie, Mary, Annie, Pearl, Nellie & Olga; brothers, Fred & Peter.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Stry. Very Reverend Father Don Bodnar will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.
