After firing gun at residence in Lac La Biche County, man is arrested
A Lacombe man is facing charges after firing a gun at a house in Lac La Biche County in late May.
A shelter in place provision from Lac La Biche RCMP was sent to residents in the area of 16526 and Highway 55 on Tuesday, May 30 after a report of a gunshot. Police believed the suspect ran into the bush with the weapon.
But RCMP found out a day later that the suspect left the scene by vehicle. The shelter in place was lifted on Wednesday, May 31. Edmonton police found the suspect vehicle just before 1:00pm, and he was taken into custody.
Chervaine Dean Saddleback, 33, a resident of Lacombe, was charged with 12 offences, including discharging a firearm. pointing a firearm, and careless use of a firearm.
After a Judicial Interim Release hearing, Saddleback was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Alberta Court of Justice in St. Paul on Monday, June 5.
