Stabbing in St. Paul sees assault with a weapon charge

A Saddle Lake woman is facing charges after stabbing in St. Paul.

In the early morning of Monday, May 8, an RCMP officer patrolling town came upon a female that had been stabbed several times. 

She was found in the area of 51 Ave and 49 Street. 

RCMP were able to identify a subject during the course of the investigation.  

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries, treated and has since been release from hospital.

Kiyana Hunter, 23, of Saddle Lake, was charged with assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

She was released from custody after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with a court date set for June 29th, 2023.
