A fire advisory for the Municipal District of Bonnyville, Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach, Summer Village of Pelican Narrows and Village of Glendon is effective Friday, April 28.
Existing fire permits are still allowed, however, no new fire permits will be issued for non-essential heavy burning. Burn barrels with screens, fire pits, fireworks and safe campfires are permitted.
“We expect this fire advisory to reduce the number of human-caused wildfires in Alberta, while allowing Albertans to enjoy outdoor activities as much as possible,” the BRFA said in a release.
