On April 16, 2023, Mr. Edward “Ed” Doktor of Vilna passed away at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary; 3 daughters, Wanda (Michael) Minchin, Christina Doktor (Joe Teves) & Anita Doktor & her dog, Bob; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Doktor, Cecelia (Nick) Puga & Stella (Wally) Kachmar; brother, Ernest; numerous nieces, nephews and other friends & relatives including, Peter & Robin, Ziobro & their children, Danielle & Mark.

Mr. Doktor was predeceased by his parents, Steve & Annie Doktor; brother, Henry Doktor; sister-in-law, Kathleen Doktor; mother-in-law, Maria Rzepa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Atonement Roman Catholic Church, Smoky Lake. Reverend Father Sebastian Chittilappily, cmi will be the celebrant with interment in the church cemetery. Lunch to follow at the Smoky Lake Seniors Drop-in Centre.
