Wainwright Bisons lead NEAJBHL series 2-0 against the St. Paul Canadiens
The Wainwright Bisons take game two with an overtime penalty shot against the St. Paul Canadiens to end in a 3-2 final.
After being down 2-0 in the second, the Canadiens came back strong for the third to stay in the game.
Within three minutes the Canadiens put two up on the board to tie it and give them a chance to come back in overtime.
After almost eight minutes of OT, the play was called down and a penalty shot was awarded to the Bisons, leading to the game-winning goal.
“We had a chance to capitalize early and we didn’t with the five-on-three, and it is starting to get really frustrating with what’s going on but it is what it is,” said Head Coach, Corey deMossiac.
“The message is the same, keep going hard, do the right things and stay away from their chirping and see where it goes.”
Ethin Campbell was in between the pipes with 38 saves and will be set to start the next game.
Game three is tonight at the Clancy Richard Arena in St. Paul, puck drop is at 8:00 p.m.
