Massive drug bust of meth, fentanyl, sees three people arrested, one warrant issued
A massive drug bust including significant amounts of meth, cocaine, and fentanyl were seized in a community south of Vermilion.
Wainwright RCMP are reporting that on Feb. 2 they along with the Eastern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a house in the community, believed to be a “drug house.”
Police seized 275 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 66 grams of suspected cocaine, 33 grams of suspected fentanyl, a gun, and $1070 in Canadian currency.
Three people have been arrested and another has been issued a warrant for arrest.
“As a result of the hard work by officers of the Wainwright RCMP working in close collaboration with the Eastern Alberta RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, we were able to raid a known drug house in our community,“ says Sergeant Michael Miller Detachment Commander of Wainwright RCMP in a press release issued on Tuesday.
“Homes such as this are burdens on a community often associated with stolen property and weapons.”
Tammy Lyn Davis, 54, of Wainwright, faces two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one charge of possession of a controlled substance.
She was taken before a justice of the peace and released. Her next court date is set for March 2, 2023, at Wainwright Provincial Court.
Chase Callihoo, 35, of Spruce Grove, faces two charges of possession of stolen property, and one charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was also released after a justice of the peace and is scheduled to appear March 2, 2023, at Wainwright Provincial Court.
Timothy John Davis, 33, a resident of Wainwright, has a warrant issued for his arrest. He faces two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance and two charges of possession of stolen property.
RCMP also arrested and charged Corrine Chaisson, 23, a resident of Wainwright, with two charges of failing to comply with conditions of release. She additionally was arrested on outstanding warrants from a separate investigation.
