On Nov. 3, 2022, RCMP officers from the Lakeland Crime Reduction Unit and the Bonnyville Detachment were conducting patrols in the Town of Bonnyville. They located a suspect vehicle which they recognised as being involved in recent criminal activity in the area, including flight from police. Robert John Poole (41), a resident of Bonnyville, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Alter/destroy/remove vehicle identification number
  • Flight from Police
