The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority is saying it’s a good time to check some safety features in your home as you set your clocks back an hour.

Early Sunday morning at 2:00am, remember to set your clocks back an hour for the end of Daylight Savings Time.

The BRFA also suggests to check the operation of your smoke detectors and see if the batteries need changing as well.

There has been debate in the province whether to continue changing to and from DST, as well as in British Columbia, and the Yukon, which stopped changing the clocks in 2020.
