Jean now Minister of Jobs, Economy and Northern Development; Hanson a Deputy House Leader

Premier Danielle Smith has chosen her cabinet on Friday, which includes a position for Brian Jean, and a house leader spot for Dave Hanson.

Lac La Biche-Fort McMurray MLA Brian Jean is now the Minister of Jobs, Economy and Northern Development. Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul MLA Dave Hanson one of three deputy house leaders, along with Kaycee Madu and Mickey Amery. He is also the Parliamentary Secretary for Procurement Transformation.

“I am thrilled to being working with this strong, determined, united group of MLAs. Alberta’s future is bright – but there’s a lot of work to be done,” said Smith in a press release.

“Our team will work every day to gain your trust, make bold changes and continue to build the most innovative, entrepreneurial and welcoming province in the world. I want to thank our entire team for their tireless dedication to Albertans and we’re looking forward to the days ahead.”

Vermilion-Lloydminster MLA Garth Rowswell is the chair of the Alberta First Cabinet Policy Committee.
