The Sun rose for Annette on July 16, 1985 in Goodsoil, Saskatchewan and set for her on September 27, 2022 in Edmonton, Alberta

With broken hearts, the family of Annette Hilary Singer of Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan announces her passing on Monday September 27, 2022 at the age of 37 years.

Annette was a loving daughter, sister, mother, kokum and best of all a best friend to whomever she met on her travels to round dances and powwows. She loved traveling and sightseeing the country with family and her kids.

Annette is survived by her children: Montana Singer, Navarone Singer, Sara Moyah, DeAndre Singer, Dassah Singer; adopted daughter: Aaliyah Singer-Gladue; parents: Cecilia Singer & Charlie Jackson; sisters: Carla Singer, Candice Singer, Wendi Singer; brothers: Calvin Singer, Dylan Singer (Katrina Boyce); half-siblings: Lenore Jackson, Gynette (Curtis) Reimer, Tory James Jackson, Charles Breast; aunties: Theresa Singer, Bertha Singer, Darlene Keesaynew, Lorainne Dufresne; uncles: Murray Keesaynew, Jimmy Keesaynew, Wesley Keesaynew, Philip Sandfly; childhood special friends: Augustine Sundown, Melissa Singer, Tanis Sundown, Melanie Singer, Raven Stick, Jodie Lachance, Hosanna Lachance; as well as many other aunties, uncles, friends, cousins and extended family members.

Annette was predeceased by her sister: Cynthia Singer (2003); brothers: Johnny Singer (1970), Dale Singer (1974); adopted brother: Aaron Piche (2018); maternal grandparents: Margaret Singer (1990) & Johnny Sandfly (1977); paternal grandparents: Sarah Pruden (2003) & Simon Jackson; nieces: Talisha Singer (2005), Carly Shirt (2019), Jeanette Breast (2019); nephew: Leroy Breast (2002); aunties: Henieretta Singer (2015), Mabel Shirt (2020).

Going Home, Saturday, October 1, 2022 to Chief Napew Memorial School Gym, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake, Alberta at 10:00 a.m.

Funeral Service, Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., Chief Napew Memorial School Gym, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan with Band Elders officiating. Honorary Pallbearers: Augustine Sundown, Melissa Singer, Tanis Sundown, Melanie Singer, Tammy Dufresne, Calvina Dufresne, Carla Mitsuing, Raven Stick, Jodie Lachance, Hosanna Lachance, as well as all of Annette’s friends and family.

Pallbearers: Alex Weeseekases, Sooki Dufresne, Tim Biggins, Steven Kahpeepatow, Sam Houle, Geoffrey Sandfly.

Final Resting Place, Big Island Lake Cemetery, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.

She was Babygirl.
