Zipline to be built at Lagasse Park
Construction is ongoing and installation will soon start on a zipline at Lagasse Park in St. Paul.
“Our community wants outdoor. They want to be outdoors. And I mean, that’s our responsibility to provide those services,” Mayor Maureen Miller told Lakeland Connect.
The Town had previously deconstructed a longstanding playground to make room for the zipline with work anticipated to rev up this week.
“We’ve ripped out a old playground. Years back we did an assessment of all of our playgrounds, prioritized them so we would have a strategic plan as to how and when they would be replaced.
“It is being replaced in September the week of September 6. It is like a $160,000 investment, but the fun part of it, it’s got a 75 foot zipline on it. So that should be cool.”
