Bonnyville RCMP Regimental Ball to foster morale

Last Updated: September 6th, 2022By Tags: ,

It’s a formal night to recognize the RCMP in the community.

The Bonnyville RCMP Regimental Ball is happening Saturday, September 17 at the Centennial Centre and tickets have been selling fast for the event.

This is not something that happens too often, as the Regimental Ball is held every five years.

“This event is a great way to foster good morale amongst the RCMP members, good fellowship, and most of all our ‘esprit de corps’ which is what makes being a member of the RCMP truly a special privilege and makes us proud to belong to the oldest serving regiment in Canada,” S/Sgt. Sarah Parke told Lakeland Connect.

“What’s special about the ball is that the RCMP members get to share all this with our community members who will be treated to true RCMP traditions and history throughout the formal part of the evening.”

The evening includes live and silent auctions and a dance.

The fundraising from the Bonnyville Regimental Ball will go to the Bonnyville Victim Services.

Parke said donations and sponsorships are always welcome and you can contact Victim services to check on the availability of tickets.

Cocktails begins at 5:00pm and dinner is set to follow at 6:00pm.

Call Bonnyville Victim Services at 780-343-7255 for ticket availability.
