Options for high schoolers are more school specific.

It’s almost time to get back in the classroom and Northern Lights schools will continue to offer different learning options for students.

Called their “Learning Pathways,” students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 can choose three options — learning in a typical, classroom environment, at-home teacher directed learning, or home education partnered with NLPS.

For all three options, programming will be provided in accordance with Alberta Education requirements including hours of instruction, expected learning outcomes, and assessment, NLPS says.

High school students also have options, but are more school specific, in order to receive the credits they need to graduate.

More information about this year’s learning pathways is included in their 2022-2023 Learning Pathways Guide.
