Fire advisory in effect for M.D., fire restriction for Lac La Biche County

The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority has issued a fire advisory for the area on Tuesday morning.

What this means is existing fire permits are still allowed, however, no new permits will be issued for non-essential burning. Burn barrels with screens, fire pits, fireworks and safe campfires are still permitted.

This advisory covers the M.D. of Bonnyville, Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach, Summer Village of Pelican Narrows and Village of Glendon.

A fire advisory was issued at 1:00pm on Monday in the Lac La Biche Forest Area, while a fire restriction is in place within Lac La Biche County.

Fires for cooking and warmth are still permitted, and all existing permits remain in effect in Lac La Biche County, however, no new permits for non-essential burning will be issued at this time.
Smoky Lake County is also under a fire advisory.
