Suspected arson at Lakeland Lutheran Church totals $1.4M in damages: RCMP

Police are investigating a suspicious fire that has caused over a million dollars in damages to a Cold Lake church.

Cold Lake RCMP released information on Wednesday about what they suspect to be an arson. In the wee hours of July 2nd, RCMP received a report of a fire at the Lakeland Lutheran Church.

Fire officials already on site relayed to police that the fire is suspicious. Damages to the place of worship is estimated to total $1.4 million.

RCMP are investigating the case and are asking the public’s help with any information they may have.
