Two charged after found sleeping in stolen SUV

A stolen vehicle has been recovered and two women have been charged.

On Monday, May 30 at 7:20am a motorist reported two individuals in a vehicle parked at a residence on Highway 28 that seemed suspicious.

Bonnyville RCMP attended the location on Highway 28 near Range Road 465 and found two females sleeping inside a stolen SUV.

Both females, 20-year-old Jadelyn Badger from Bonnyville, and 34-year-old Charmaine Laroque, also known to police as Charmaine Sharphead from Cold Lake, were arrested for Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and charged.

They were also charged with counts of Mischief and Breaking & Entering a Residence. Badger was also charged with Resisting Arrest.

Police said both were released from custody and are due to appear in court on July 19.

The stolen vehicle, black Chevrolet Tahoe, was recovered.
