Man charged with assault causing bodily harm after skirmish with two people

One person is facing assault and assault causing bodily harm charges after altercations a week and a half ago.

Around 2:00am on Sunday, May 29, Bonnyville RCMP received a report from a woman that both her and her boyfriend were assaulted in Kehewin.

Police say they went to the scene and arrested the suspect.

The victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries, RCMP said.

Owen Dion, 31-year-old male from Kehewin has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault.

He was brought before a Justice of the Peace who released him to appear in court on June 28th, police said.
