Bruce Greengrass named assistant principal at Northern Lights Outreach Schools

NLPS has announced a new assistant principal of Outreach Schools.

Bruce Greengrass has been appointed Assistant Principal of Northern Lights Outreach Schools for the 2022-2023 school year, NLPS said in a press release.

“Bruce has always been focused on finding ways to connect with students and build relationships with families to ensure students are supported in their learning journeys,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson in the release. “This is an important piece of the work our high schools do to ensure students complete high school and progress to post-secondary education or into the workforce.”

Greengrass was part of an expanded administration team announced for Bonnyville Centralized High School (BCHS) in 2018-2019 as the school was preparing to undergo a major modernization.

Now that students and staff have transitioned back to the upgraded facility, school administration will return to a two-person team (principal and one assistant principal).

Greengrass previously served as assistant principal of Northern Lights Outreach schools from 2014-2018. Prior to that he taught Social Studies at both BCHS and Cold Lake Outreach School.

“I am excited to join the Outreach team and be a part of their great work supporting student success,” said Mr. Greengrass.
