Jr. A Pontiacs Golf Scramble approaching

Grab the golf clubs and prepare to hit the links on Saturday, May 28th for the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs 2 Person Golf Scramble.

Associate General Manager Neil Langridge said it’s meant to be a fun event to support the club, and encourages golfers of any skill level to come out and have fun.

“This will be the sixth annual Bonneville Pontiacs golf scramble,” said Langridge. “We’re doing a two person event like we did similar to the one we did last August. But we’re super excited this year to be back in May when we always do it, the first tournament of the year, for the Bonnyville Golf and Country Club.”

There are many great prizes to be won at the event, including golf-related, barbeques, and gift cards, just to name a few. The 2 person scramble is sponsored by Apex Valve, while the Crown & Derby Neighborhood Inn are providing the meal sponsorship.

It’s a full day event, that features a ladies division once again.

“It’s about getting out supporting your local junior hockey team, but at the same time getting out and enjoying the outdoors,” said Langridge.

“You don’t have to be good at golf. This tournament is about having fun getting out and just enjoying the the beautiful course we have in Bonnyville.”

The cost to register is $160, which includes a golfer’s green fees, cart, and supper. There are a maximum of 70 teams that can register for the event.

A blind calcutta which also liven things up with a 75 per cent payout, not to mention a Hole in One contest for $30,000.

It’s happening Saturday, May 28 at the Bonnyville Golf & Country Club.
