Elk Point Elementary will have a new principal next school year.

In a release put out on Tuesday, current principal Rob MacDonald said he has asked for administrative leave for the 2022-23 school year and it was granted.

Current assistant principal Leanne Vinge will take over duties as acting principal. Reanne Mudryk will join the administration team as well as the assistant principal for next year.

“While it will be difficult to step away from Elk Point Elementary, I have every confidence that our students, school, and staff, will continue to grow and thrive under the leadership of Ms. Vinge and Mrs. Mudryk,” said MacDonald in the release.

Elk Point Elementary School works with Early Childhood Services up to Grade 6 students serving a total of about 210 students each year.
