Bonnyville Health Foundation launches new fundraising initiative ‘Your ability to give is a superpower’

The Bonnyville Health Foundation has launched its latest fundraising initiative, “Your ability to give is a superpower.”

“Not all heroes wear capes,” Dawn Weber Executive Director of the Bonnyville Health Foundation said. “And this month, you can be a hero and use your ability to give and make an impact for our local healthcare community.”

Weber said the new campaign to fundraise will only take donors a few seconds-Pick up your cell phone and text HERO to 20222 and donate $10 or $25 today.

The HERO campaign which will be running for three months will raise money for our hospital’s areas of greatest need.

“We have canceled our gala for the third year in a row and we hope this new method of accepting donations makes it quick and easy for people of all ages to make a gift toward improving local healthcare. Your donation will help the Bonnyville Health Foundation continue to transform good healthcare into great healthcare in the Bonnyville Health Centre,” Weber said. “Women are bringing life into the world in the delivery room; local patients are receiving treatment at our Bonnyville Community Cancer Clinic; unexpected injuries are being treated in our Emergency Room, and our precious local seniors are being cared for in our Long Term Care facility and our Palliative Care department.”
