Elk Point Fire Department on scene at accident on Heinsburg bridge, bridge closed

Elk Point Fire is currently on the scene of an accident which has occurred on the Heinsburg bridge on Highway 41.

Details about the cause of the crash are limited at the moment. However, Elk Point Fire told Lakeland Connect via email that the call to respond came in at 2:20 p.m. on March 7.

“The bridge is closed at the moment but should be back open within the next hour,” Elk Point Fire said.

Two vehicles in total are involved in the accident and there are no life threatening injuries.

Roads in the Lakeland region are currently slippery. Drive with caution.
