The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) Board of Directors proudly announces the appointment of Alicia Krawchuk as Regional Deputy Chief effective March 14, 2022.
Alicia grew up in Bonnyville and started her Fire Service career with the Lloydminster Volunteer Fire Department in 2004 where she also worked as a full time EMT-A.
Alicia returned back to Bonnyville in 2007 to pursue a career as an Advanced Care Paramedic and also served as a volunteer firefighter with Station 5 of the BRFA.  In 2013 Alicia became the Division Chief – Medical Operations of the EMS Division of the BRFA.
“Alicia brings a lot of real world managerial experience, and a fresh perspective on the BRFA and its three divisions,” Dan Heney Regional Fire Chief of the BRFA said. “She brings very strong EMS experience to the role as well as solid firefighter experience as a volunteer with two separate departments. Although she will be missed as the leader of our EMS division, we are excited to see her further develop as the Regional Deputy Chief.”
The Board is confident that the professionalism, knowledge and experience that Alicia has displayed throughout her EMS and Fire Service career will be continued in her new position.
The Regional Deputy Chief position became vacant when Dan Heney was promoted into the Regional Fire Chief position in December 2021.
