Mobile home destroyed by fire

A mobile home was destroyed by a fire yesterday morning and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

On February 3, Station 9 Cold Lake Responded at 9:00 a.m., to a structure fire near RR423 and Twp 633.

Dan Heney is the Regional Fire Chief of the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority.

“The mobile home was fully involved on the arrival of fire crews and was a total loss,” Regional Fire Chief Heney told Lakeland Connect.

Four crews responded to the fire. Crews braved the the cold temperature during the fire, and struggled with access due to the amount of snow in the driveway.

“Crews had to pull all of the hose lines in from the main road,” Regional Fire Chief Heney said. “There were no injuries reported from the blaze as no one was there at the time of the fire.”

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
